SHORES
Shores marks a quiet sidestep in Antoine’s practice, one that brings a subtle, intentional shift in his technical approach to the wet collodion process. Where much of his work is defined by precision, this series embraces the unpredictable nature of the medium. Drips, streaks, and chemical anomalies are invited in and become integral to the composition.
The resulting images are more pictorial, softening the boundaries between photographic document and painterly abstraction. In Shores, horizon lines blur. Sky, water, and land dissolve into one another, offering no fixed point—only atmosphere and suggestion.
